30 Day Blogger Challenge - Day 13

Day 13: My Views On Mainstream Pop Music & What Artists I Don't Mind

- I am not really a pop fan to be honest. I mean some 80s pop is okay, and some of the pop music in the early 2000s as well, but the current pop I cannot stand really. It's all about sex and drugs and breakups and they all sound the same. None of the artists sound like they open their mouths properly while singing, and the themes and lyrics and tunes and everything are so similar to others, and I cannot stand it at all. I like music like pop-punk, pop rock and other similar genres of music, but it's the plain mainstream modern pop that I can't stand.

- I mean there are some songs or artists that aren't so bad, like Shawn Mendes I don't mind listening to but I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to either, and Ed Sheeran is okay I guess - I mean he has a soft voice which is nice, but he is very overplayed and can be a bit annoying if you hear too much of him. I do however love the song Praying by Kesha, it's so uplifting and heartbreaking and I relate to it so much.

- Although I don't really like the music, I won't hate on anyone who does like it, as I know we all have different tastes and likes/dislikes. And as long as it makes someone happy, that's all that matters to me.
