Day 12: My Favourite Childhood Book

- I love books so much and honestly I don't think that I can pick a favourite book as a child.

- I will make a list of some of the series that I read multiple times as a kid, and loved to pieces, and include photos of the books (found on google).

Lucy Daniels - Animal Ark book series

I was obsessed with animals and being a vet when I was younger, so these books were amazing! I got so into them that I even used to pretend I had those animals as pets too, or that I was in the book

Daisy Meadows - Rainbow Magic fairies

These books were incredible - I would read through 3 or more of these books a day, and I honestly don't even know how many times I read through them. I probably had 100+ of these books. There were 7 books per set released. The first set were based on the colour of the rainbow, and they went on from there, but it was 7 at a time and they all had a theme (like pets, or gems - as in this photo). I loved these books as I used to pretend that I was a fairy or was one of the other characters.

Linda Chapman - My Secret Unicorn

I think the reason I loved this book series as a child is because I would always pretend that I had pets that I never actually had - horses, dogs, bunnies, giraffes... you name it, I probably pretended that I had it.

So this book was perfect as I would pretend that I had a pet unicorn that no one knew about and I couldn't tell anyone about, so I was really able to pretend like why I was in the book, it was amazing!

Nick Shadow - Midnight Library

This was a series of quite scary books - okay well they weren't really scary but they were a little scary for children's books. They were great though, and it made me feel like I was reading grown up books. Some of them had mystery elements, and I could try and work out what I would do or what would happen next and I used to really get lost in these books!

Also when I became a young teenager (between the ages of 8&14), my 2 favourite book series's were Harry Potter (J.K. Rowling) and The Vampire Diaries (L.J. Smith), and I have read so many books since then.

Books are an escape for me, and they were as a child - I could tune out of real life and become a part of the book I was in. I could be one of the characters, or have adventures and happiness that I could (can) never otherwise experience. And that is why I have always loved reading so much.

Stay Strong!!

Have a great day!
